Africa INX provides basic, un-contended, International Internet Access in two variations, which include:

Unprotected

The unprotected Internet services provide International bandwidth through one route (submarine cable). This service is generally bought by license holders that already have other international routes and as a result can create restoration within their own network. Alternatively, this service can be bought by license holders that are providing price sensitive, non mission critical Internet services.

50% Restoration

The standard rate card includes the Africa INX 50% restoration service, which provides 50% restoration via an alternate undersea cable in the event of the primary route failure. The Africa INX primary route to the Internet is SAT3, and in the event of failures in the SAT 3 cable, Africa INX will carry no less than 50% of the SAT3 bandwidth reserved for the license holder on SEACOM or an equivalent submarine cable.

  • SEACOM
